It is widely known fact that Italian luxury car maker Lamborghini only makes premium supercars. At the top of its lineup sits Aventador which replaced previous flagship speedster, Murcielago. 2016 Lamborghini Aventador will be fifth model in this car’s lifetime which means that it is somewhere in the middle of its cycle.
The Engine and Acceleration
Powertrain tweaks are not strange to Italian supercar enthusiasts, but since there are no news on 2016 Lamborghini Aventador’s engine yet, we have to assume that everything will remain the same. This means that 6.5L V12 should continue to develop around 700 hp or, possibly, even more since current models come in special anniversary versions which put up 710 horses. All-wheel drive and 7-speed ISR automated manual transmission will again be responsible for car’s handling and speeding. And speaking about speed, Aventador tops 0 to 60 time in less than 3 seconds, and reaches top speed of 217 mph.
Styling – Inside and Outside look
Every single Lamborghini had always had recognizable futuristic styling and Aventador hasn’t been different. It has rather sharp angular, futuristic styling with lots of sharp edges and air intakes to cool and actuate the engine at the same time. This car comes as either roadster or convertible and it has to be experienced as sheer talk about it can only get you so far.
Even though Aventador has carbon fiber unibody structure, it is still rather heavy car at around 3,700 pounds, mainly because of its cumbersome V12 engine. It is quite low, but also rather wide and might be hard to handle in city driving. However, sheer momentum and acceleration it gets in straight line will leave you nailed to the seat, asking for more.
2016 Lamborghini Aventador’s interior is in full sync with its exterior. It is sharp, futuristic and luxurious beyond measure. Surfaces are soft and polished, and supportive seats come with top-class Alcantara leather which can be customized in terms of color. Cabin is divided in cockpit-like style by the central console which falls from the dash, all the way to the seats’ base.
This allows easy control over all available systems at high speeds for which the car was designed. Given its low-profile nature and futuristic styling which create plenty of blind spots, outward visibility can be a nuisance, but at least things look better in convertible models. There’s no point in listing all of its features as luxury badges such as Lamborghini always hold up to their end of the bargain.
2016 Lamborghini Aventador Price
Fuel economy ratings aren’t really relevant for Aventador owners, but it doesn’t hurt to disclose them. Cabrio versions are rated at 10 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway, while coupe raises the bar by a single point. These are outright low numbers, but, as already mentioned, 2016 Lamborghini Aventador owners won’t exactly mind them as someone that can buy a $400,000 car, doesn’t have to worry about its fuel (in)efficiency.
2016 Lamborghini Aventador continues Italian low-volume car maker’s proud tradition, and will continue doing so in years to come. This futuristic beast with abundance of ponies under its hood, and one bull atop of it can offer you luxury and comfort at the same time, while roughly gluing you to your seat with its momentum.
